As most free apps in 2019, “free” is not always “free”. It turns out that the default settings are less than ideal for performance. This behavior led me to suspect that the problem was that the program was waiting for something to connect or time out. Once loaded, it seems more or less fine and will load quickly again the next time. If you want to skip to the good stuff, just look for the list in the next section.īasically, I think the issue is the result of several problems mixed together causing Photo Viewer to take up to 10 seconds to load.
This was driving me crazy on multiple machines and, after playing around with a few options, I think I got to the root of the issue.
